German e-MTB Championships 2022
As every year, we support the referee committee in checking the e-bikes.
The procedure is quite simple. To ensure that the battery is not unnecessarily drained during the test (<0.01%), the e-bike is accelerated to 29 km/h on the Speed-Bull and the rider begins pedaling with medium to high power and full support. The speed is then continuously reduced. Above a certain speed, the power delivered by the rear wheel of the e-bike must increase, since the limiter switches on the support at speeds below approx. 25 km/h.
If a significant increase in performance is recognizable, the speed is increased again until the support switches off again.
If the support is switched on and off within the legal speed tolerance, the bike is considered to have been successfully tested.
The process only takes a few seconds and the energy consumption of the battery is minimal.
These tests are only required for licensed drivers.

We have received confirmation from the DPMA (Patent Office) that the patent procedure for the new Vertex-Drive has been initiated. Unfortunately, this drive does not fit the Speed-Bull. It’s only for the TX-E series. (19.10.2021)
